HELLO! WE'RE CARSEN AND KAYLA, TWO PASSIONATE STYLISTS WITH A SHARED JOURNEY IN THE HAIR INDUSTRY.

We started our careers at a renowned salon in Buckhead, where we had the incredible opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. Over the past several years, we've worked side by side, building not only a strong professional bond, but also a shared dream of owning our own salon. Now, that dream has become a reality as we proudly present Modern Muse, our very own studio.

I have thick, wavy hair that people have struggled to cut well for years. I remember genuinely growing up thinking my hair just sucked. It always looked choppy, never layed right, felt frizzy and awkward as it grew out. I had resigned myself to believe I would just never have good hair. Then I found Carsen and holy crap I have Disney princess hair and just never knew it. I never don't receive compliments on my hair throughout the week. It's cut beautifully and frames my face perfectly, always even, and always healthy looking. I'd pay $100 for this cut and it'd still be worth it honestly. I mean that because I fly to Carsen from Virginia three times a year so SHE can cut my hair. I literally don't trust anyone else now.

Kayla is absolutely amazing. From the gentle way she speaks to the stunning results at every appointment, you can’t go wrong having Kayla as your stylist. She has helped my curly hair journey more than any stylist I’ve ever had. Her faith in my hair is unmatched. Can we talk color for a minute? Yeah. Ummm… If I had more freedom with my color choices (work requires natural colors only), I would sit in Kayla’s chair and cover my eyes, just to have her do whatever she wants. She’s that good. The compliments have been pouring in. All of my clients have said something. “That color really suits you!” “Your hair is amazing!” “That red really makes your eyes pop!” Of course, I tell them that Kayla, at Modern Muse Salon, is a freaking magician with hair! Get on Kayla’s books. You won’t be disappointed.
